dust free
less waste
very easy to clean stall
saves time
manure haulers will accept them mixed in the manure
Shavings (pine, peanut, etc)
Nice look
Longer clean time
cheaper
Avoid straw, it provides some warm but no drainage. It very quickly smells, however it is cheap.
Pellets- $8 a bag (about)
Shavings- $4-7
Straw $4-6
but shavings, rice holes are great beacuse u can shift thru it to get to the poo and not waste as much bedding and wont cost u much
with straw u have to replace it everyday and shavings and rice holes u can simpley clean it each day then put a whole heap in once a week =]
