What's a good song to audition with for American Idol?

  • So I'm not completely sure about this, but I might want to audition for American Idol sometime in the future..and I wanted to know what songs you guys think would impress the judges the most! I'm a girl, so I guess choose songs that women sing? Lol, thanks in advance


  • This is my not list, based on judging in past seasons:

    No Whitney, Mariah or Celine (they always say "You can sing, but you're no ____with these three).

    No Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood (they always compare the versions).

    They really like when women rock out on a male song in a different key.
