Owned License Question

  • Hi,

    I have an owned license which runs out at the end of april 2008 and if I let it expire until vb3.7.0 final is out would I still be able to renew my license by going to the members area?

    You renew the download access by accessing the members area, then choose Upgrade/Renew at the right of your license-details. You do not use the regular purchase page.


  • Don't worry, there's no deadline for owned licenses. The renewal fees is for access to download upgrades, not the right to use an owned license.
    Owned licenses can be used in perpetuity.

    You can renew your download access whenever you feel like it, be it tomorrow or 5 years down the line.


  • Uploading smilies is easy enough. If you can't get it done, open a new thread in one of the support forums. This is for pre-sales related questions.


  • Phone support is not included with a vBulletin license. That is a seperate service which requires a seperate license.


  • Sorry to tag onto the end of this thread, but, i've just taken ownership of an owned license which has been transferred to my name.
    Seems a daft question, but, i assume that i only have to renew the license that costs £17 and not take out a "new" license that costs £91.
    Cause it's due for renewal tomorrow i don't want to miss the deadline and i don't want to take out the wrong renewal :eek:


  • You can renew it whenever you want because there is no expiration date on the license. The only thing you are paying for in the renewal is to get upgrades and support from the site and by phone.
