My launch 60 gig ps3 has quit playing ps2 games and dvd's.?

I am unsure of what happened but my model has lost backwards compatibility. Still plays ps3 games and Blue Ray disc but no longer plays any ps2 or dvd format. Was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I have contacted sony and awaiting response. This has not happened after a update or any kind of changes to the system.DONT CLICK ABOVE ^^ I GOT A VIRUS FROM THAT SITE IT LINKS TO A TROJAN DOWNLOADER!! ITS A SCAM DONT CLIK PLEASE
to answer your question, did u update your ps3, i think sony are doing this on purpose!
