I didn't used to be like this until about a year ago. I feel like I can't ride in the car for more than an hour without feeling nauseated especially on roads with lots of hills or that are curvy. How do I get over this?I always say I get seasick in the bathtub, but we love to travel, so I've never let it stop me! I've tried a number of things depending on how we're traveling and what we're doing. Here's our page on motion sickness.... http://www.mousetourstravels.com/travel-... you can see some of the options.
Read what the US Center for Disease Control has to say here: http://wwwn.cdc.gov/travel/yellowBookCh6...
Happy travels... even if you don't travel the world... just remember that life is a journey... embrace and enjoy it! http://www.mousetourstravels.comI get really bad motion sickness too. Usually i take a pill for preventing nausea ( i use gravol ) but there are various other drugs that won't make you sleepy like gravol does. Other then that you should wear clothes that don't make you feel constricted in the car, just whatever is comfortable. And keep something fizzy and really cold close by like sprite or ginger ale. It settles the tummy when you feel nauseas. hope i helped :)I wouldn't take Gravol if you are the one driving (it makes me soo drowsy!) but there are other less drowsy drugs available, talk to your doctor.
I find chewing gum and looking strait in front, toward where the car is going, helps a lot fighting my nausea. Keep hydrated. Avoid reading a book or playing a game or doing stuff on a laptop where you have to look down - listen to some music instead to keep yourself entertained. Crack a window to have some fresh air.
And last, I find I feel a lot less sick if I stay active and time flies, so chat up a friend, or sing with the radio at the top of your lungs!#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
